What is Spiritual Direction?

I understand spiritual direction to be about helping you pay attention to the presence and work of God in and around you, in Christ and by the Spirit, for the sake of personal transformation.

In spiritual direction, the Holy Spirit is the true director, the one who is leading and moving in your life. The role of a spiritual director is to facilitate a space of interaction with the voice and presence of God in your life.

The goal of spiritual direction is to journey toward a deeper, truer understanding of self and a deeper, truer understanding of God that opens up greater trust and flourishing in your life with God.

Getting Started

If you are interested in exploring spiritual direction together, the first step is to schedule a free, 30-minute consultation. This helps me understand your hopes for spiritual direction, allows you to ask any questions, and helps us both discern if pursuing direction together would be a good fit.

I offer 90-minute spiritual direction sessions for $90.

Spiritual direction is usually scheduled monthly, though it can be more or less often as you desire. I am currently offering only online direction sessions. Please use the contact form below to reach out and schedule your free consultation!

My Approach to Spiritual Direction

I take a holistic approach to spiritual direction which welcomes the entirety of your person and does not understand the spiritual component of your personhood to be disconnected from the rest of who you are. This means that topics related to your mental, emotional, relational, physical, vocational life (and much more) are welcome in the context of spiritual direction. My role as a spiritual director is to help you attend to God’s presence and leading in every area of your life that is relevant to our work together.
